Beginning January 9
This four-week course is for anyone curious about exploring the basic elements of yoga in a small-group setting. Brand-new beginners and experienced practitioners are welcome. Class size is limited to 12 students.
You will be introduced to the foundations of a yoga practice: breathing, postures, mindfulness and philosophy. You will learn safe alignment principles, simple breathing exercises, relaxation techniques and basic yoga concepts.

Guided Meditation Series @ KCAI’s Artspace

Free Guided Meditation Open to the Public, First Fridays
Join me as I lead a guided meditation in response to the current exhibition. The meditation will attune to works on view and concentrate our energy on mindfulness and breath. You are invited to arrive at 10:30am to view the exhibition before the meditation. No meditation experience is necessary. Please bring a yoga mat or cushion if you have one. Sleep Workshop – Mindfulness for a Good Night’s Sleep

Do you wake up in the middle of the night or struggle to fall asleep? Would you like to get off sleeping pills? Are you concerned about the long-term impacts that lack of sleep can have on your health?
These are solvable problems. Making a few lifestyle changes, along with some simple mindfulness and meditation practices, can help you improve the duration and quality of your sleep and alleviate some of the anxiety that comes with sleeplessness. In this workshop we will:
- Learn a bit about our nervous system
- Learn how to sooth frayed nerves to tame our anxious, busy minds (and do some soothing in-class exercises)
- Identify the lifestyle factors that contribute to our sleeplessness and create solutions that are actually helpful, instead of just piling on one more thing you “should” be doing
- Turn “off”
